I lived in Germantown growing up. Went to CBHS.
I didn't realize how much I disliked Memphis until I moved to Nashville. I have some fond memories of Memphis from when I lived there but I don't miss it at all. I have to be in Memphis every 3 months for work and it's just a weird city. All my personal opinion of course.

Memphis is a perfectly fine city. I've felt less safe in many cities.

The Memphis 'leaders' are more worried about Civil War graves and monuments than they are trying to clean up the high crime areas.

See your hate for Memphis now comes full circle. You have conformed to the constant hate and belittlement of Memphis from those living in Nashville. So due to your being unable to form your own opinion you conformed to their false beliefs. I hear it all the time when I travel there. Most like the poster cast have yet to step foot in Memphis.
