Today, students of all ages and ability levels have access to information about virtually any topic from a seemingly limitless source of print, audio-visual, and electronic media. With access to information literally a keystroke away, many people are questioning the appropriateness and usefulness of traditional college lecture courses.

In closing I think your argument lost most of its credibility with the invention of the printing press.

Not talking about Rice specifically but they are less tolerant of true conservatives or dumbass conservatives who refuse to give an inch on gay marriage/social issues?

No. Most people become more liberal from 18-24, college educated or not.

First of all, the stats show that the more educated you are the more likely you are to have liberal ideologies.

Second, in part due to the right's own doing, many people (and especially the younger, educated Americans) associate republicans/conservatives with religious intolerance and ignorance.

As a highly educated person who believes in small government and fiscal conservatism (and loathes liberal principles in both areas), watching people mock all conservative ideas under the caricature of the religious and socially conservative right is frustrating but at the same time is a largely self-inflicted issue on the part of the republican party. The party needs to get back its fiscal roots, ease off the social issues and make an active effort to distance themselves from the association with educational ignorance.

Is why the republicans would dominate every election if they would just back off the social issues and actually enforced small government and fiscal responsibility. The liberals in this country know their ideology wont amount to dick, so all they do is attack a caricature of the other side.

Fair point, but there aren't many(any?) Republicans to look to as examples of advocating small government and fiscal responsibility. They talk the talk, bur rarely walk the walk.

This only happens at the universities that are very liberal. Most normal universities the students don't care as long as they pass the class and find a place to get drunk.

Liberals also have a tendency to get in an uproar vocally over things than conservatives. They are the masters at protesting

I noted a statistical fact, you made a condescending snark implying conservatives are idiots.

Intelligence isnt predicated on how many degrees one has, and plenty of highly intelligent people are conservative. The democratic party is filled with educated idiots.

The ones that do, are labeled hate mongers and extremists.

There is a significant portion of the R party that I have written off. They are no different than most of the D party. They're all in it to line their pockets, or those who got them where they are. The Reids, McCains, Grahams, Feinsteins are the problem, but too many idiots buy into the class warfare arguments and have allowed their thought process to become, Dems are for blacks, and Rep's are for big business. When in truth, Dems are for keeping blacks under their thumb for their blind votes and both are for kickbacks. Both parties disgust me at this point. I honestly think the country is past the point of getting things back in order, due to the corruption in Washington and kinda wished it would hurry up and burn so that it can be rekindled from the ashes.
