I finally decided to give this stuff a go, and holy crap I'm bouncing off the walls. They don't lie when they say to dilute it. And it's delicious.

Yeah I can't believe I've been missing out all these years. I always liked iced coffee, but I always just poured warm/hot coffee over a bunch of ice so it was always watered down.

This stuff is amazing.

Try Cool Brew if haven't already. It's the best I have yet to find.

I have some friends that own a small cold brew coffee company in Atlanta. I generally stick with regular coffee but it is a nice change of pace.

I just made my own in a French press. Incredibly easy.

The Late Phil McCrory, the innovator of "Cool Brew" coffee, was a wonderful, kind and great pharmacist for the state of Louisiana.
Brilliant man as well.

I feel like someone posted about this awhile back. How did you brew it?

I used a French press. Just put some coarse ground coffee beans in there, topped it with cold water, then let it sit overnight for about 12 hours. Put the press on, and pressed it down.

I poured some over ice with some sweetened condensed milk and regular milk, about equal parts of both. I'll cut back on the sweetened condensed milk from now on though as it was a tad too sweet. Maybe cut it out altogether. The coffee is sweet enough as it is. Probably should up the milk a little as well, or add some water, as it had me high as a kite all morning.

Right on. Do you use 2 tbs per cup? Also, I normally use a spatula to miss the grounds water and eliminate that crust using a French press...same idea cold brewing?

I didn't really measure. My press is a 4 cup press, and my grinder has a 4 cup setting, so that's what I used. It probably was 2 tbs per cup, or really close to that.

Yeah, I missed the step of mixing the grounds once you pour the water over them.

I used to love the Georgia Euro blend or Georgia black (no racist). Hot coffee out of a vending machine is like a sore dick, you can't beat it.

Starbucks is selling this now.

But I hate Starbucks so I'll have to try my own at home sometime. I usually like any sort of coffee variation but for some reason I'd just rather have folders or community most days

Turned out awesome and I think the flavor was better cold than hot. I don't like really hot beverages anyway and usually let my coffee cool to a lukewarm temp.

There's a place called Onyx Coffee Lab in my hood here in Nam that ships their cold brew all over the country. They roast their own, experiment with processes, etc.

They and a few others here have taken up the "craft-brewing" mentality towards coffee and it is phenomenal. They steep their cold brew for at least 20 hours. Rich flavor, dark as can be.
