Honestly, neither Pepsi nor Coke taste good straight up, if everyone's perfectly honest with themselves. If you like things sweeter, you'll favor Pepsi. If you prefer things heavier, you'll gravitate towards Coke. Both drinks taste better when they're altered, IMO (i.e., Cherry Coke and Wild Cherry Pepsi are two of the best drinks on the market).
My all-time favorite Pepsi was the Pepsi Twist. Lemon-spiked Pepsi that came out back around 2002-ish but they don't sell it domestically anymore. Got me one last time I was in Japan, however.

I prefer Coke, but I'm not a huge soft drink fan. I couldn't tell you the last time I had a Pepsi, and only have a Mexican Coke a few times a year.

My absolute favorite is half I.B.C. Creme Soda and half Dr Pepper I allow myself 2 of these a year.

Heb has some heb brand sodas made with real cane sugar that are excellent.
