Wasn't there aren't article about the older Maziel's being hucksters? It sounded like grandpa and papi were into some shady business. But that was years ago I read that one.

Yep, the family has a bad rep in the area, though a lot of it comes from an uncle or two more so than JF's parents. Though, as I recall, no one in the family comes from High Society or can be found in the Social Register.
