tasers arent mandatory for cops, at least not in Alabama. I know that was a big point of contention when a student got shot at USA by a cop.
so, the civvie not having a taser isnt necessarily bait.

How many times have you willingly engaged in hand to hand combat against an attacker significantly larger than you when you were also outnumbered 2 to 1?
My point is that neither a cop nor a civilian is under any obligation to take or even risk an arse whipping when they're attacked. If non-lethal force is available and they choose to use it, fine. If they choose otherwise (or it isn't available) the blame for the outcome lies solely at the feet of the attacker.

I have no idea either -- really, in any situation where the other person has a gun and you're uncertain whether they'll kill you or not -- comply.
Robbery, dealing with police.
I understand fighting especially against kidnappers (seeing as where I live, and what happens to people who get kidnapped), but a cop in the middle of the street won't take you to some sadistic dungeon and kill you. Just be a good boy and go to jail.

that video was pathetic. 2 cops can't even work together to subdue a guy who isn't even 200 lbs. i've seen 2 co's armed with only OC spray subdue men much larger than that with no problem. bad training is bad training.
