Skyline is just okay. Not worth a special trip, but if you see one and are hungry, it's unique. The chili itself is on the sweet side(lots of cinnamon and a little chocolate I think in it), and they load it down with cheese. That's about all I remember about Cincy except for King's Island, which is pretty rad.

You can stay downtown at any of the nice hotels or over in the newport shopping district. There is the aquarium on the KY/Newport side over there as well. Haufbrau HAus is good for a beer and German food.

Really yall should be able to walk around for a lot of it.

Can drive over to Union Terminal Museum as well

I lived in Union, KY for a year. I would stay on the KY side of the river and hit up the Newport Boardwalk area. Hofbrau (sp?) is cool. Depends on age of children, but I loved going to Hooters or another sports bar on the river before the game and taking the ferry across for the game. It drops you off right next the Great American and runs after the game as well. I love that part of Kentucky.

Stay across the river in Newport, hotels, nice restaurants, movies, etc. Then walk across the Ohio River walking bridge to the ballpark. Good times.

The Mundlein (or whatever its called) brewery outside the ballpark on the first base side is pretty strong. The beer can chicken sandwich is awesome.

Good view too.

Thanks everyone. The suggestion about taking the ferry over for the game sounds cool, or even the walkin bridge. Very helpful info. And I can definitely get into some authentic German food. Chili just doesn't strike me as something I'm gonna order at a restaurant. But that's just me.

At the Newport Aquarium area there is a really good Italian restaurant called Brio. My wife loves to eat there whenever we go to a reds game.

its fast food, but its not just a bowl of chili like you would be used to

Great American is one of my favorite ballparks, but am partial because its somewhat my hometown stadium. Anywhere lower level are great seats and view and the stadium has a great food selection.

its a chain restaurant but still good. There is a lot of german, italian, and greek influence in the area, some better local options around town as well

I love GA. Only lived there for a year but went to several games. Parents lived in Union for 6 years and my dad threw the first pitch at a Reds game and I got to get behind home plate and catch it. It was an awesome experience.

I stay at the Embassy Suites on the KY side riverfront often. Pretty good free breakfast and free beer and drinks @ happy hour in the atrium.

Larosa's Pizza is pretty good and they're located all over the Cincy Metro area.
