The major difference is that Christians and conservatives will denounce the actions of this guy. Assuming the guy was actually a Christian or a conservative, we don't excuse and alibi for such actions the way liberals like to. We don't blame everyone (including the victims) but the actual perpetrator like liberals do with Islamic terrorists.
