Either team would beat Cavs or Warriors.

That's just stupid. The opposite is true.

I'd rather drag my dick through glass than hear about the Cavs and Warriors ever again.

Those were different times. You could get away with a lot more physical play. You had more leeway posting up and backing in as well. I think those old school teams would struggle some with those rules just like the Cavs and Warriors would be shocked by the physical play and its inevitable impact on offense.

Lets just say this. Each were the best of their time.

People tend to look at the nba in terms of defined eras when in reality there is overlap of player from one generation to the next. Kareem was competitive late in his career. Magic was still a force as the era of Jordan got underway. Jordan could still play against the next generation. Great players likely would be great in most generations.

One thing that I think is false is when people talk about how much more athletic players get over time. It isn't football where technology allows them to get unnaturally strong as it won't necessarily help you in basketball. Look at Durant. Just a great athlete. I think James and Durant would be great in any era based on size, athleticism and skill set. Obviously a rougher game would be tougher on a Curry or Thompson based on the style they play. But what they do is great for the time they play in and that is all that matters in the end.
