Were necessary and saved millions of lives?

Prove it if you disagree.

They were racist war crimes, we'd have never dropped them on the Germans because the krauts are white but the Asians in Japan were fair game.

I know it makes me a bad citizen, but I only know basic facts about the us-japan side of ww2. I'm gonna stay out of making an opinion.

Saved millions of lives? Yep.

Necessary? Nah we'd have won eventually. Our leadership had balls back then.

Could the allies have formed a blockade and cutoff supplies to mainland japan? We could have won the war by starving them. Japan did not have the resources that the allies possessed. may have lost a few more assets and taken another year or two. Overall, lives may have been spared.

Prove that lives would not have been spared?.

You sir, are a fricking idiot. Do some reading on the war in the Pacific. Lets just take the battle of Saipan, one of the later ones.

June 15-July 9th, 1944. 3500 American Dead. 10,000 wounded. Japanese 30,000 dead, 20,000 Civilians dead. It rained constantly during that battle. Dead bodies that were buried percolated up out of the ground infested with maggots. Living hell.

Now, think about invading the main islands of Japan. over 1million dead easily.

We killed nearly as many with the firebombings of Tokyo as we did with the A-bombs. And since you reference Europe, we killed nearly the same with the firebombing of Dresden.

The Japanese were good boys who were turning their lives around, they never meant to hurt nobody. I mean, Greater East Asia Co-Prosperity Sphere...how could something sounding that nice possibly be bad?

What's worse than the war crimes of Hiroshima and Nagasaki is the cultural genocide we committed in the decades that followed them. We transformed strong and chivalrous samurais into tentacle-on-schoolgirl Pokemon obsessed perverts.

They were already starving, more lives would have been lost that way

I can't agree with you. I don't have any facts to throw out, but I refuse to believe that it was the right decision.
