You do realize that the US has no official national language, right? Several states have established that English is the official language of their state, but we, as Americans, have no national language. For over two centuries immigrants have been coming to this country not knowing how to speak English and many times it took a whole generation or two before the families began to fluently speak English. American Standard English is the language of the majority of Americans, but it isn't THE language of the United States.

Quick fact, we were ONE vote shy of having French as our national language back when it was voted on back in the 1700's. That would've been cool.

I'm 100% for requiring immigrants to learn basic English, but you missed the point of the commercial. We are a multicultural country, and people are welcome to speak those languages. They just need to KNOW some English.
I liked the commercial, it was sweet.

Dude was the best offensive player in basketball for about three years. I still maintain that at his peak, McGrady was the most dominant perimeter scorer since MJ. Better than Kobe and Lebron (He was a better shooter at his peak than both). Kobe and Lebron are better overall players, but McGrady was UNSTOPPABLE from 2001-2004.
