Ok, thought I'd heard it was good thanks for the confirmation, got it for $22 a fifth at Rouses

I like it. Four Roses Single Barrel is probably my favorite though.

Very good for an affordable bourbon. My brother introduced me to it a few years ago. Good stuff.

That's mine as well, they didn't have it so I made a command decision to get the Buffalo. Looking forward to drinking it

Buffalo trace is good stuff. Havent had the single barrel yet but I'd assume it's good. Just picked up a bottle of Basil Hayden, what should I expect from it?

It's my favorite bourbon that I drink on a regular basis

No clue. I've just jumped back on the bourbon train after a 20 year agreement not to see each other.

I think the Single Barrel is only available through the private barrel selection process. Unfortunately, I haven't come across any yet. Where did you find this?

Rouse's in Slidell. I might be reading the label wrong but it said it's the single barrel select.

Nice. At that price I would buy all that I could get my hands on.

I tell you, every time I go to Louisiana, I load up on booze at Rouse's. Beats the hell out of what you have to pay here in Bama.

It's a good summer bourbon. Isn't as woody/heavy as others like Woodford but has a nice bite to it. I'd call it light and spicy. You'll like it.

Belle, this is slightly off topic, but do you know anything about the "Bourbon Trail" tours? My soon to be 21 year old asked me if I would take him for his birthday.

Absolutely.

Kentucky Bourbon Trail Website

Basically hits all the major distilleries and their tours. You can get a passport through the site and hit all of them to get a t-shirt. Maker's is always a fun one since you get to dip your own bottles, Woodford and Four Roses are nice as well. They all offer a varied experience. If you want to make a weekend of it you can always plan it when they have a weekend of racing at Keeneland.
