Didn't HBO pick it back up and just rename it?

I had my suspicions but let it pass and answered with good intentions.

Here's another one but maybe it just ran it's course... Breaking Bad. Hated to see it go.

Not cancelled just ended...but why, they could have kept it going. As I said earlier it seemed the peeps in charge thought it had run its course.

Deadwood.

HBO has a pattern of this. They cut Rome short--though they tried to graft on some kind of ending. They just killed Deadwood midstream. Killed the recent Horse series with Dustin Hoffman in it . .

Imagine what they're going to do with Game of Thrones when they run out of book because that fat arse won't finish them.

He's already told them how it is ending.

I will be SHOCKED if they release shows before the books . . maybe there's an agreement to take a year or something off if the books aren't finished (there's two more), and then finish up in case he dies.

And this is the mentality of most every TV exec in the business.

Kudos to the creative forces behind BB for going out on top. "Yeah we know we have the best show on TV, and it's more popular than ever. Holla." - drop the mike, exit stage left.

EPIC.

Honestly Martin will probably just change how the books end. If it's true that the next book isn't coming out until at least mid 2015 as his publisher states, then it is very likely that the show will pass the books.
