You live in Bham? We float the Cahaba all the time. Plenty of rope swings and such. Plenty of parks going in along the river. Never had anyone hassle us about beers.

After that the Locust Fork around Garden City is nice.

While Ichetucknee Springs, is a very beautiful place, it ain't Orlando. It's located deep in Cracker Country and is home to all of Florida's wildlife that will eat you or inject you with venom. Should you decide to visit this place keep this in mind and stay off the shore line. Other than that it's a fun place to be.

Headed to the Spring this weekend it's our groups 4th year in a row.
Floated the Caddo couple weeks ago with the kids and that was a nice relaxing float.

Girl in my complex got all sick from a bacterial infection when she went last weekend, but I think she has a horrible immune system as she is always sick. Anywhere to rent tubes or Kayaks on the Cahaba, also where is the best place to load in/load out?

If you want to see some of the nations best float streams come to Missouri.

Jacks Fork in Eminence, MO. The Current River, The 11 Point River, if you like to fish the North Fork of the White is awesome. The Huzzah is a fun party float so is the Black River.

The Buffalo in AR is awesome and I agree the Ocoee is fun to raft.

Our streams are clean, clear and flowing. Check 'em out.
