This would all just go away if we just let people get offended without worrying about it.

The movie's main offense is that it is a monumental piece of trash. Cinema gar-bazh.

Amen. The same concept as rushing to a crying child. Let that kid stop crying on its own and it will stop.

There's removal of an old battle flag from state grounds as a representation of amicability between the state government and ALL of its citizens.
Then, there's whitewashing history because the thought of it is painful and inconvenient.
This, the General Lee, the Civil War app, etc. fall under the latter.

Unless they're coming to pry my DVD copy from my cold dead fingers, it doesn't matter much what some idiot critic says on this.
Just means more empty seats when they do an annual viewing here at one of the local theaters.

That's exactly what removing the flag represents. People getting butthurt over a historical flag. The American flag represents just as much racism, hatred, bigotry, etc and it's a very core part of our society. Still can't understand the fixation upon a symbol as if it means a damn thing. I'm offended that people fly rainbow flags in my christian face.

frankly I don't give a damn. Although it has been known to get chicks wet...but there are other methods

spot on article. Summed up by this quote
quote:
My idea is incredibly radical so hold your breath: a symbol can mean more than one thing. The Confederate flag is racist when racists use it, and when racists don't use it, it's not racist.
