When has Christianity inspired anything like this since the Crusades of the middle ages?

Violence - LINK

Hatred/Bigotry - The early KKK(primarily the 2nd incarnation of it) had a connection with the Protestant churches, particularly in the South.

Damn. Walking in on page 5 of what has to be a clusterfrick of a thread.

Jesus, y'all. Believe he's the son of God sent to save mankind or don't. It is what it is. None of us know anything for sure so believe what you want to.

That being said, religious billboards are the worst.

It's a Christian reference. But you knew that.

Genesis 1:27. So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them.

Hindus have many gods. Indians don't have six arms, proving they weren't made in their gods' images. Indians don't claim that anyway. You just want to be bitchy.

The KKK was also started by democrats. Which means Democrats should be forever associated with violent racism, right?

Hey, I believe the vast majority of democrats are racists, hell George Zimmerman is democrat and look what that White Hispanic bastard did. He's probably Christian too.

And where in the teachings of Christ, does it have people slaughter like that?

Man, again. Not religion. Christianity teaches not to hate and judge like that.

Then most of your believers aren't listening to the message.

You would think the Atheist talking points would occasionally get a revision.

If billbaords move the dial for you on matters of making your peace with God, you have serious problems. I don't believe in the story of the three wise men. It was a fairy tale before long before Jesus, and it was popular, so it was lumped in for the piecemeal creation of Christ when they were making the Bible hundreds of years after the fact. Still... why anyone would care enough to MAKE the billboard is just sad. You aren't appealing to people, you're just spreading idiocracy.

Don't take a couple of idiots and use it to say "the majority" of christians view Islam or any other religion as hostile and evil

All fall short. None are righteous. We're all human and prone to our own selfishness, prejudices and desires. I don't disagree with that statement.

I'm not just talking about their dislike of other religions.

Also... a couple? I grew up in an entire church full of them and have seen thousands.

Pretty sure I haven't stated anything close to that for you to draw that kind of conclusion.

I also haven't stated that my goal is to do that. Just not understanding the thinking process of being so hardline and obtuse about NOT believing in something.
