Had this one bright spot 2 years ago when I went to the beach with a highschool sweetheart of mine. And everything up to 15 was awesome.
But when I was diagnosed with epilepsy, everything just kind of got super shitty.
Writing my book, posting on the rant, and helping my pops and granddad with yard work and a few other things every now and then when I can gives a nice escape. Love my granddad. Means everything. I would die for that man in the worst possible ways. Went to a few conventions and had a great time with some foreign people that are now good friends of mine. So things are looking up.
Holy shite all that was not needed. But what the hell. It's the OT board.

So 45-55 sucks universally?
Not looking forward to those years.

Some people might say they like to work, but the graph shows that we don't.
Notice how it takes until age 60-65 to be as happy as we are at age 20-25. Then we get happier because we don't care anymore.
What does the time in between have in common for most people?
WORK!

Interesting. I guess as a kid as I was a pretty happy kid. Since then it has depended on circumstances more than anything.
Mid 20s right after college was great, but I had some good circumstances as well. Right now is pretty good, but I'm in a pretty good spot right now as well. So, circumstances...
Oh, and I have never been truly happy. Always had a positive outlook, but never satisfied and always trying to progress in some way.

There's a lot of suicides later in life.

Russians are a pretty miserable lot. Don't think I've ever seen a happy Russian.

Currently 22 and probably my best year so far in terms of happiness.

Combination of kids leaving the house, facing your own mortality, female menopause, and worrying about having enough for retirement.

I think a lot of this is health related. Lot's of people don't want to go through painful and costly late life procedures with no guarantee of quality of life afterwards.

23 - super senior year of college. My life was comprised of takig a few classes, bartending, working out a couple of hours a day, and dating a ton of underclassmen. Definitely peaked at 23.

Eh I'm pretty happy now in professional school. It's different than college of just partying 4 nights a week but that was getting old and taking a toll on my body toward the end.
