Silly dummy. You made this thread political. In the 17th post of this thread. Everything you've posted since then is just you trying to defend what you posted there.

I'm glad you're happy in Alaska and that it makes you feel unique. That's why everybody is moving there, because it is such an awesome place to live year round.

Arkansas is hard. I have no life here, that's why in five years I have over 19,000 posts on a sports message board. I mean, imagine how pathetic my life would be if I had four times that many posts. I'd probably just jump off a bridge.

Eureka Springs is the Detroit of the Ozarks, thanks to the gays and liberals destroying everything in their path. Poors are walking the streets begging, and you can't give away homes there. Your post was spot on. Its the liberals, dammit. They're ruining it all.

Enlightenment, thanks to RogerTheShrubber.

You really are on a losing streak. My post was in response to your political post. You're batting .000

Not unique for the West coast, but mountainous coastal towns with a high standard of living make live very bearable.

Alaska is ranked 9th in population gain, unfortunately. Arkansas 29th. Figure that out. States with good economies and high standards of living usually are at the top end of the pack when it comes to population.

What political post did I make? Are you talking about the OP? Nothing political about it, unless you consider homosexuality to be political. I actually posted it to explain why there would be a judge issuing gay marriage licenses in a town on a Saturday. Eureka is pro-gay. I figured a lot of people didn't realize that or would be surprised by that.

Alaska has a high percentage in gain because so few people live there presently. According to your favorite source Wiki, AK added 25,000 people the past three years. That's fewer people than moved to the NWA metro over the same time period. Massive growth, indeed.

I moved because I'm in the military a liaison for the communities and schools. That's what I'm basing my post off of. I love Arkansas and just PCS'd to North Carolina. I was a Recruiter and that is what I basing my post off of.

Weird fact I just left Emerald Isle brace in NC rocking a razorback shirt. Wasn't hating on anything just telling it how it is from my prospective.

WMR you're a great dude and was no way an attack on your post. Just posting what I know from the area I was directly involved in.

Liberals saved Eureka Springs bar none. This happened in 1997 when Marty and Elise Roenigk bought the Basin and Crescent hotels, moved to Eureka Springs and set out the preserve the properties and subsequently bought the War Eagle Mill, a couple galleries, helped put up the cash to restore the Hotel Seville in Harrison, and basically were the leaders in rejuvenating Eureka Springs.

NW Arkansas lost more than we'll ever know when Mr. Roenigk was killed in a car crash. He saw the value in promoting our area and had the cash to do it big.

He believed in my projects and helped teach me how to translate everything I said into dollars and cents without specifically talking money when seeking investment or promoting a project.

Here's 2 great links to get you up to speed with the Savior of Eureka Springs.

Eureka Springs being looked at for a reality show, a "cross between the Andy Griffith Show and Portlandia".

With 2,073 residents, Eureka Springs is considerably smaller than Portland, which has a population of 583,776. But Eureka Springs could be an Ozark Mountain microcosm of the free-spirit lifestyle of Portland, he said.

.......

"It's a celebration of small-town living in the most eccentric and amicable way," he said. "It's like the Lady Gaga of towns. It's a really bizarre thing."
