Taking the lady to Hot Springs this weekend. Please recommend me a nice hotel and a couple restaurants. A nice bathhouse, too.
Thanks!
Thanks!

Smart man
Ain't no hell like having your woman angry at you. Half of the time she's gonna be pissed at you for something you couldn't have controlled anyway, so why add fuel to the fire?

You and your 'partner' could hang out at Club One Eleven. Maybe drive up to Little Rock to enjoy Discovery Club as well...

I like the Arlington. Not the best rooms but how much do you use the room? Location is great. Right on Central Ave.
Try Rolando's, the Ohio Club and The Pancake Shop. Or just eat in the Arlington.
Since some will bad mouth the Arlington, there is always a Super 8. And yes they will leave the light on.

good choices. i love the arlington- it's old but has history and a certain sort of class, imo.
maxines for a drink and maybe some live music. i've always had a fun time there.

Have yall been to any of the bathhouses? My mom went to one and loved it, but doesn't know what it's called.

Central Park Fusion is the best restaurant in Hot springs. First Friday of every month is Gallery walk, where the galleries stay open late and have wine and crackers. Maxines is a good place for cocktails, and the Superior bath house has been converted to a craft beer bar.

Did you honestly think this had any comedic value?

I'm not huge on Hot Springs. There is a lot of wasted potential there. They need to just go ahead and legalize gambling outright and spruce up all that wonderful old architecture.
I recommend getting a drink at the Ohio Club, which is the oldest bar in the state of Arkansas. Tiny place with an impressive wood bar area. Intricate woodwork. I remarked to my buddy who lives there "damn, we don't have any bars like this in Fayetteville" meaning, we don't have this history and obvious old-time opulence. He responded "you never had organized crime in Fayetteville."
The bathhouse where the National Park Service has their offices is worth a tour, if nothing else, just to see the tiffany skylights and understand a little of the history. Hike the trail that runs behind Bathhouse Row and see the actual Hot Springs.
I've only been to Hot Springs like twice in my life. It is not known for fine-dining. At least not to me.

The Fordyce is the one I toured. Its creepy and medical in some ways, because that's what the bathhouses originally were. But there is also some grand old opulence of days gone by, like this. Very interesting to me.

They still are in a way. The one I referenced earlier was neat to do and I enjoyed it and would do it again but it had the look/feel of an old insane asylum.
Edit- just wanted to add that I love hot springs. I love most places that are quaint yet a little seedy. You can be good or bad- options abound.
