I'm happy every damn day.

I have healthy kids, a steady job, good friends, parents who I can't stand but love to death, and a wife who still sleeps with my lousy rear.

The world is too majestic and life is to short to spend very much of life unhappy.

Nailed it. Just found out that my wife is pregnant with our first child. So of course I'm hoping the healthy children statement holds true. Outside of that, I couldn't have said it any better.

For the most part. I've battled depression a couple of times in my past, and have a lot of it in my family history, so another depressive episode could rear its ugly head at some point. It's been 9 or 10 years since my last episode though. Kids are a great salve to that.

went through a patch like that about 6 years ago. As cliche as it sounds, hang in there because it will get better. Also give medication a shot. I've been on one thing or another since and I'm happy overall.

I do, too. And negative people and political people and religious people and braggarts and gossipy people and people with babies and pet people and...

Come to think of it, I haven't checked FB or Twitter in a while. No real need to, I suppose. One of my filters.

For the first time in my life I can truly say yes.

For me it's always about getting more stuff, more acheivements until very recently. It's been about approval from others, making others happy with the idea being that I'll be happy in a environment where others are happy. But that does not work, not for the long term.

All those extra things don't mean anything. Gotta be happy with what you have, period. Generate your own happiness, don't try to get it from outside sources. You cannot depend on anyone/anything else to make you happy.

Congrats to RockyTop.

And I'm happy. Things can always be better and they can always be worse.

Depends on the day. My dating life sucks. Just can't get on the same page with right one. It irritates me from time to time, but other than that I don't have a legitimate complaint that isn't a petty white people problem.

Great job, family, and friends. Setting myself up for good things. Finally have a direction going forward.

You've got a severe case of the obsessions. Weird.

Nope, I think about too much to be happy. I'll survive though.
