That's very unlikely.

What? How is it unlikely?

I can go a year without working out and just eat normally and still sit at 15% body fat. That's a good "normal" range for men my age.

I have a friend who can also go without working out and have the same diet as me - not overeating or necessarily dieting either - and he carries about 5% more body fat.

Some people's body types just hold onto more fat. He's perfectly healthy. No BP problems and no cholesterol problems.

Women also naturally carry more body fat than men. So, they can have normal, healthy diets and still look "chubby" by society's ridiculous standards.

DM4L is a troll. Ignore him.

Can't believe he started a decent topic, though.

I love how girls don't have a problem putting up stupid Ryan Gosling shite and wanting their BFs to look like him then turn around and say we should be allowed to look like cows.

If you are happy looking like shamoo, more power too you. I don't judge you if you are considered healthy. I just don't have to find you attractive either

Should women shift their standards when it comes to men with male-pattern baldness?

Obesity and Male-Pattern Baldness share the same traits on both a scientific level and a social level.

A lot of men claim to just not be attracted to overweight women, even though this is something that the women can not help and should not have held against them. Nonetheless, women find themselves being consistently measured up against celebrities and models who do not exhibit the same characteristics of fatness.

I don't think women should be happy looking like Shamu, but not every woman out there has the ability (unless they want to drop a few thousand on implants) to have the body like the girl in the Auburn thread.

You fat shaming shite lord.

Nah. For serious, fatties need to realize that their bodies aren't attractive instead of trying to get others to love them.

The problem is that too many men think that curvy and fat are the same thing.

Some women are curvy and unless they workout 2 hours a day and eat like birds, they'll always have a little pudge. I know girls that eat perfectly healthy meals with healthy calorie intakes (around 1200-1500 a day) and workout about 30 minutes a day (that's all they have time for) and still carry a little softness in the midsection. That's just how some body types are.

And yet half the guys on this board would call them fat cows because they don't look like supermodels.

The same thing is true for guys. Only, honestly, I find MORE women are accepting of men with substandard body types than men are of women.

30 minutes a day isn't much exercise at all, especially if it's all cardio.

Also, fat guys are gross too.

Ask any dietician or health field professional and they'll tell you that 30 minutes of exercise a day is plenty to be healthy and prevent most all health problems.

To be healthy, yes. To be in great physical shape, no.

This is true. A lot of guys that are not in the greatest of shape are not willing to entertain the idea of being with a fatter woman.

Fat shaming is real and bad and it's a sign of both the close-mindedness and judgmental collective conscious that has engulfed this entire nation(and the south in particular).

What a person does in their own kitchen, or fast food booth, or car in the drive-through is their business. You have no right to find it unattractive or disgusting.

That's my point. Not everyone has to be in "great physical shape". A person should be able to eat right, get the proper amount of exercise for their lifestyle and be able to be happy with their body, but society wants everyone to be super models.

I hope you're trolling. Obesity is a major problem in this country and it makes the cost of insurance and medical care more expensive for all of us.

It also hurts my eyes when I see Shamu in a swimsuit.

It's also easier for men to lose weight.
