This guy will be there to greet ya...

From the NBC12 FB page...

quote:

IF SOMEONE OFFERS .... to take you golfing at the public course in Palmetto, Florida - say NO. In case you were wondering, the biggest alligator ever recorded in Florida was 14 feet long, weighing 780 pounds. Many who golf there believe he's bigger.

quote:

The exceptionally large gator at the Buffalo Creek Golf Course has roamed the links for years, and he's apparently good for business.

"People have heard that he is out here and that is all they want to see so they will bring spectators to ride so somebody can get a picture," pro shop clerk Wendy Schofield told News 3. "He doesn't bother anybody and they don't bother him, he's like a mascot for the course, which is owned by Manatee County."

That's a fricking dinosaur

But no, even if he wasn't there, I wouldn't golf in Palmetto. My mother still lives in Bradenton, I grew up in Sarasota, Palmaghetto is a shithole.

Palmetto is a city so dirty, they named a roach after it.

Looks like they're letting it play through.

Wise move.

It's rare that a gator bothers someone unless provoked. This is a big ol boy though & I'd certainly let him play thru and wouldn't bitch about slow play

I've lived around gators my whole life and can tell you when they get that size and are not afraid of humans it's time to trap it and relocate it or problems will soon follow. All it takes is one dumbass to throw it a piece of sandwich and its on. That thing could out run a human for the first twenty yards.
