Anonymous supposedly uncovers plans of ISIS attacks tomorrow

It's not a single group. Some of the people that go under the name are for real and others are fakes.

Dad was a 25 year veteran of the FBI. After 9/11 they started getting warnings about potential terrorist attacks on a near-daily basis. There are simply too many warnings to adequately address them all, and most of them turn out to be nothing. That's why every time there's an attack you hear that the authorities had prior knowledge. It's more like they have been told it's a vague possibility.

As we're seeing in Europe, an attack here is inevitable. You can't unring the bell and our "leaders" should end up in Gitmo when it happens for being so passive.

Nothing directly related to what was supposed to have been uncovered, but my daughter contacted me from where she and her husband are stationed (husband is AF) and told me to remove all location tags from pics with them in it. Supposed to be due to some security "suggestions" the military has given bc of the whole ISIS situation.
I want her home. Like..yesterday. This being so far apart with everything going on is damn near killing me.

This has been recommended by the smart people for several years. Naturally, leadership in the DoD has been behind the curve for years. Almost ten years ago, as an example, a guy posted information about how he was able to pinpoint the location of interpreters and such because of their tags and location linking through Facebook and other social media stuff, especially when it's linked to a cell phone.
I don't understand why anyone would have a Facebook account or use Google. Both couldn't care less about your privacy.
Terrorists are looking for either high value targets or easy targets and they are giddy if they find both in the same location.
They also like to make their plans available sometimes in order to see how security changes etc. Helps them plan for the future and also, they like to wait for people to say "well, it was a false alarm" and as soon as guard goes down, boom, they hit.
