My friend from Orange County is the first one who used the term Kalifornia (PRK) to me.

right. he is one of many people who lean right in california. there are a large number of them. it just so happens that two population centers that have a combined population of over 20 million both lean left

Looks like Reddit hates the state with the highest black population percentage. Bunch of racists.

At least in my case you'd be quite wrong.

There are vast parts that are stunningly beautiful but the cancer is to pervasive there's really no choice but to put it out of its misery.

My feelings about California are always "this must have been great 50 years ago".

I haven't in a long while, but I have a spy who reports back regularly.

Wouldn't shed any tears (if) Texas left.

Except every time you:
- stopped at the gas pump
- bought any item transported by truck or rail
- bought a hamburger, steak or leather goods
- bought an orange, grapefruit or winter vegetable
- bought something made of plastic

I also won't get into what portion of active duty service members are Texan.

Texas IS the US. If we "leave", you're coming with us.

Northern California, San Diego region, and from north of downtown LA to SF is still great. LA and SF are too dense for my blood.

Nah, most of that state is awesome. Now I would agree, L.A. breaking off and sliding into the ocean would be a net positive for humanity.

I'm sure you mean NYC. Upstate NY is just fine.

California. Eliminate the biggest majority of liberal pain. Or New York.

for frick's sake

just try for once in your life to realize that not everyone has to have the same point of view as those who are from small town Alabama. And I say that as someone who graduated from a HS with 90 kids in small town Tennessee.

NY and California are both big reasons why America is America. We are a melting pot with folks from all walks of life. You should learn to embrace it. We need liberals and we need conservatives. I promise you alahunter, you don't have all the right answers.

LA is awful but there isn't anywhere in the US quite like northern CA.

and I didn't post any redwood pics. Anyone that would prefer CA to be gone over half the states in the south are out of their mind.
