Gluten is bad. You shouldn't eat it. It's almost as bad as flouride. Almost. Our ancient ancestors didn't eat gluten, and they managed to evolve from monkeys. Think you could do that on a gluten-rich diet? Hardly.
The bottom line is that what you are eating is killing you. Eventually, unless you stop eating, you're going to die. I'll have more in this series, but I don't want to confuse anyone by hitting multiple food groups at the same time.

I’ve talked about how grains in general are a poor choice for your health, but gluten containing grains like wheat, barley and rye require special attention because they can be particularly damaging to your health. All grains, including other non-gluten containing grains like oats and corn, are bad because they contain gut irritating lectins and mineral binding phytates, but you’ll learn here why gluten-containing grains and wheat especially can not only cause the same problems as other grains, but also cause much more trouble down the road.

Nice response thread.
Ftr.
I'm not onboard with the gluten craze.
Gluten isn't the problem, it's the delivery method most of the time.
It's the high amounts of processed food and poorly made breads ect that are the problem.

You sound positively conservative there. Don't you want this forum to be a 'safe place'? You probably just triggered someone.

An atheist, a vegan, and a crossfitter walk into a bar. I only know this because they all told me within 5 minutes.

Gluten would be down on the list of things I'm concerned about that's with in our food/crops.
Check out the 1 billion+ lbs. of glyphosate that is being sprayed on millions of acres of farm land. Effectively making it's way on to almost 100% of the nations Corn and Soy Bean crops.
Cancer(s), autism, dementia, alzheimers, etc. etc. are all directly linked to it.
It comes from this little company called Monsanto. You may have heard of her.

Only one percent actually have a gluten allergy. Do some people want to be sick?

Ten percent of us are on a gluten-free diet but the research says unless you are coeliac, there is no link between gut disorders and gluten.

No they want to be trendy

Yes. People are bored/insecure/unhappy and they want to have a "thing." Maybe it's for attention, maybe it justifies some problem they think they've always had.
Eta: and it's a fad, trendy as agforlife mentioned. That's a big part of it too

Actually, if you stop eating....you will die.
I'll take my chances with gluten rather than starve to death.

Some people have yeast infections of the gut, when this occurs it's a good idea to cut out certain things, including wheat so the gut can repair itself.
The gluten craze is marketing taking advantage of some misconceptions.
Most people, which includes all of you so far in this thread have a severe problem with absolutism and zero-summing

it was funny.
yes, it's also used as a weight loss measure for many-which is a good thing i suppose but that adds to why this fad has gotten so faddy.
