It comes down to whether you have much in common once the sex is over. Is there anything to talk about? Can you stand her friends? Is she mature for her age?
The older you get, the less of an issue this is until you really reach old age, then its a problem again. Once they hit 25 or so, I dont see 10 years being a huge deal. More than that, maybe.

I extended my college career a few years, and being 25 was a great advantage in sorting thru the riff-raff of sweet young thangs. At 28, it would have been totally unfair. Don't know if I would of survived.

I also make sure a girl likes me for me before I talk about what my family does. I prefer not to talk about it actually.

Even an age difference this wide doesn't preclude the possibility of two people having some fun, especially when it comes to casual dating. If you enjoy each other's company, go for it.
