Sucks because I ALWAYS buckle up. Outta habit.

I would make my ex buckle her seatbelt before I left the parking lot.

I had just packed up my car and was getting settled in. Just about to buckle up as she got me. So dumb.

I had an Alabama state trooper write me up for a seatbelt ticket when I was driving home down 82 south of Tuscaloosa. If you know where I'm talking about, it's a divided highway. He was headed towards Tuscaloosa and would have gotten an eye full of late afternoon sun if he was looking at my truck. The best part is that I did indeed have my seatbelt on. I honestly thought he had pulled me over for speeding because I was going 5 or 6 over. I only took my seatbelt off after I stopped on the side of the road. It had locked up and I was trying to get my insurance out of the glovebox for him to speed up the bullshite. He told me he saw me with my seatbelt off and I told him he absolutely did not. He told me if I didn't sign the ticket and admit to not wearing my seatbelt, he would take me to jail. It was a 10 dollar ticket so I bit the bullet. I have yet to encounter a state trooper who wasn't a raging a-hole I wanted to punch in the throat.

ETA: tl;dr: :csb:

She started trying to small talk me after the ticket. "You don't have the AC on?" No bitch. I had my windows down. We all don't have huge vaginas that need AC 24/7.

Robot. That sucks. I would have a hard time not arguing back with him. I don't normally mind cops because most I've dealt with are nice, but damn some are just asswipes.

Huge mistake. Female cops are on the biggest power trips of all of them. Hateful as frick most of the time. They'll nail you for anything that they can.

Isn't that insane how some of them try to be your fricking buddy AFTER issuing a ticket?

Cops profile cars / drivers and pull people over using seatbelt as an excuse..

Unfortunately I can't blame that one on alcohol. I'm pretty much sober.

I was in a wreck during high school, I was not wearing a seat belt and was thrown from vehicle, and it probably saved my life. The engine of the vehicle ended up in the front seat of my vehicle but I was still issued a seat belt ticket

Ha. I'm sure the ticket, not the near death experience, is what taught you your lesson.
