And what about killing predators past their reproductive prime so that the gene pool stays robust?

Maybe I've just never heard of anyone eating Mountain Lions.

Shame on you that cat probably fed a whole Chinese village for a week.

That's unscientific and illogical.

Killing an older animal does not improve the gene pool.

An animal that is able to live to an old age likely has pretty strong genes.

Predator control programs may be a thing, but they are a stupid thing.

They just give hunters an excuse to kill more animals.

Many people like to kill. Really really enjoy it. Reasons can always be found.

Go humans

You can't back up your stupid claim. In fact, you couldn't even begin to defend your claim that killing older individuals of a species "improves" the gene pool.

I study ecology as a hobby. I dedicate my life to the study of paleoecology. I know way more about it than you do.

I don't think this person understands how animals are mounted.

It's just not worth it to me to get into it with you. If you're truly as qualified as you say you are then you obviously haven't done much reading on this particular issue.

It's not worth it to you because you can't defend your baseless point.

I study Natural History Journals for hours everyday.

I guarantee I know more about it than you.

You are the one who has no idea what you are talking about. The claim that killing older animals improves the gene pool? That's so stupid it's a joke. The age of an animal has nothing to do with the gene pool. An older animal has the exact same genes it was born with you ignorant idiot.
