subdued? hardly.. I have to wonder about the distance between us.
for me, it's just a reminder for what I already knew.

the shite is going to happen, to people that don't protect themselves

go ahead and think you are above it all, and you can give up all your violent tendencies, and the world will fall in line, coyotes will stop eating rabbits, wolves will stop eating sheep
Damn, what a wonderful world

I traveled from D/FW to East Texas this weekend for my grandmother's 95th birthday. Not expecting a whole lot of trouble in Tyler/Longview, but, aside from my regular carry gun, there's an AK in the trunk. You just never know.

Maybe growing up in the 70's when terrorism was constant has jaded me.

Is that some sort of backhanded slap at perms, polyester and platform shoes?

People have been talking about securing our borders since the 1970s. Those people are always shouted down as racists and fear-mongers.

Same thing in France. This could have easily been prevented.

I'm still not for closing our borders.

An informal assessment of this thread: I don't think the military types feel subdued. I think the military types are more like, 'plus up on ammo'

I never had a whitefro, nor did I wear platform shoes but I was guilty a few times of wearing polyester.

Annex Canada and Mexico. Will make it much easier to watch the borders.

Why don't you just say you support sanctuary for killers and career criminals, and the unchecked entry of terrorists, and a Paris equivalent in the US. Grab a set and say it, because that's what it means.

Strong leadership is going to fill the void at some point. Change is coming, and it isn't going to be brought by the peace and love hippie generation. They've shown that their way is suicidal.

Caesar is coming.

No. You can make it easier for law abiding people to enter while at the same time keeping out anyone with a violent past or connections to terrorist organizations.
