Pint cans are the best. Beer tastes better out of a can.

Not anymore. Can technology, particularly the liners in them, has been improved to the point that cans are being used more and more by craft brewers. I personally like beer in a can better.

Part of it is cost, though. I've talked with a couple small brewery owners and canning is less expensive than bottling. That said, a really high quality craft beer does seem to taste closer to draft out of a can than it does out of a bottle.

I'm in Colorado, and there's a huge selection of good canned beer. If given the choice, I'll grab a can. Aluminum bottles are great when you're doing things in the water, like whitewater, and swimming in the ocean/gulf. The screw top works great, but the selection is very small in those bottles.

This has been proven by science.

This is wrong. There are some craft breweries that are using it, but bottles are still much better.

Overall, bottles are going to be alot better, even at the pool/lake/beach. Just take a koozie and you are good to go.

I passed the brewery yesterday, on the way to picking up some furniture. I'm planning on going over there to play some bluegrass on one of their pickin' nights.

You're actually wrong. Bottles allow light to shine through to the beer, which causes it to go bad faster than anything. There's a reason nobody that brews decent beer uses clear glass (corona sells a fantasy, not a well brewed beer).

Cans are the best possible packaging because of this. And it's not the old days where they leave a metallic taste.

Not to mention the cap doesn't get a 100% complete seal, so oxygen can get into the bottle and age the beer quicker.

How so? Craft brewers are moving toward cans, check the numbers. Bottle use is still higher by a pretty good margin, but there has been a huge shift in the thinking of brewers on canning beer.

Your opinion, not fact. Not knocking you for it, I just prefer the taste and convenience that I get out of my favorite IPA's in a can as opposed to the bottle.

NPR story on canning craft beer.

I left the South for a reason...

Beautiful scenery, good beer, and buying weed using coupons. It'll be hard to move away anytime soon.
