It was crappy "teenager chic". Which is why I included it. I could not stand preppy douches who would only wear those 4 brands and would act like they had the greatest clothes on the planet. When in all reality the reason you had to buy a new shirt every week was they would fall apart after 3 solid days.
As a reference point, I normally stick to polo, Columbia...etc. Douchy in its own right, but actual decent clothing.

It's a private company. They can market to whomever they see fit.

I wanna know who wears the stuff. I occasionally see it on white trash, but this is rare. I wore it a lot in jr high even though my dad told me I looked like a dumbass. That was over 10 years ago though. I thought the A&F fad had passed.
