I hope you are right but ISIS makes me nervous

Not me; you should only be nervous if you live in a gun-free zone. 2nd Amendment folks have this covered

I don't think your 12-gauge can sniff out a bomb, or stop a plane.

I expect ISIS to try something. The symbolism is too great to pass up.

I've always wondered why they've never tried to hit a football stadium honestly. I think you could kill more people there with strategically placed bombs/bombers than you could blowing up a building or something.

Or a concert. And it'd be really easy to get away with all of those people.

You pick one of your high white pearly skinned fellows, make him shave, he carries it in his boot or shoe and really -- even if he doesn't kill someone and he just maims -- imagine the chaos at public events afterwards.

FWIW I have more just a 12 ga (and there are MANY, MANY more guns in the south than ISIS ever thought about owning) and just because they took over an airport it doesn't make them Top Gun pilots

And the date doesn't mean anything to the groups that matter now.

I think that date will always matter for the Islamists.

It depends on their particular radical ideology. Some only observe the true Arab Lunar calendar, as it was passed by Allah and will one day mark the days for the entire worldwide caliphate. Or something like that. Anyways their calendar is one of their religious relics, or it can be, and how sacred it is depends on the particular nuances of that sect or ideology.

Here's an interesting suggestion for the timing of 9/11.

Interesting for sure. I don't think it can be known. Even if we uncover specific intelligence as to their plan and set date, it could all be bluster. Pick a date, justify it later. 9/11/01 certainly worked for logistical reasons, the fact that it was a random idle Tuesday and we were complacent was paramount. And that's the main reason it won't work now.

Nothing in the US. If it happens again, will be when it's not expected and something highly visible that Americans adore like the World Series, a filming of the Kardashians or something.

yeah. my flight leaves at 7, but i'm now thinking i might should have NOT chosen tomrrow.

probably need to get there about 5 AM for the extra security measures i can expect.

there's nothing in Tulsa that seems like a good target for anybody currently.
