I would say Florida is probably number one, Georgia is a close second, just a lot of difference in population. Texas has some good teams, but year in and year out, their top teams could not beat the top teams in Florida or Georgia.

And as for Hoover, well they got embarrassed by Colquitt County ( Moultrie Ga ) this past year, soooooooo......

And Hoover embarrassed Colquitt County the year before. What's your point? There's no shame in losing to Rush Probst, he's the GOAT HS football coach.

Per capita, it's Alabama.

Texas kids seem to peak during high school.

Yup he is. Talked about it to the parents of two Hoover football players about it. Their oldest player for Probst. He didn't start but Probst still had his staff put together the kid a highlight tape and send it out and use all his coaching connections to get this kid a place on a college team. Their younger son played for Niblett, started for two years and was a standout DL. Very good player, good worker, high motor, but was undersized. His parents had to pull Nibletts teeth to get film of their son so they could put together a highlight reel themselves, had to send it out themselves, and do all their recruiting for their son themselves. They basically said Niblett was too busy promoting himself to promote his players and unless you're a blue chipper its been like that at Hoover under Niblett. Whereas Probst loved his players and did everything he could for them, even if he was questionable in his personal life.
