A high school full of adolescents and adults and he stabs 20 people before someone takes him down?
Forget concealed carry. We need to start teaching basic fighting skills at the age of 10.

The pussification of America is the only correct answer.

Yo uwould think that a football player or wrestler or someone big would have just gone after this kid.

I'd have to imagine that a large amount of the people injured were done so pretty quickly consecutively, don't see how people wouldn't freak and start running / fighting unless this wasn't the case. Also, the ages of the victims are kind of young, I'm not sure I'd respond too effectively to such a threat at the age of 14.

I've taught self-defense in the past (and do occasionally teach it now for a price) and I've always been more afraid of knives than I have guns. With a knife, even a small one, the plane of what's harming you is larger and harder to control.
A firearm on the other hand, has a focused point and can only harm you if it's on you.
That being said, shot or stabbed, both suck and with either one -- a slip can end your life.
