Check out our rushing stats from last Saturday. I swear if Ish Witter is our featured back again this week I'm going to lose it. Link

I mean, he's okay-ish

If Ish gets the majority of carries this Saturday, I'm probably going to go full metal Jagd up in here.

Agreed. Time for the coaches to put Abbington and Hunt in. Pat 'em on the arse, tell them, "Let's see what you can do."
And not for just one damned play. Give them several series.
I'm struggling to think what it could hurt.

Shitter runs like he thinks it's 2 hand touch. He should be never be a 3 down back. At most a 3rd down change of pace type guy. His stuff might have been ok in the Big XII but not the SEC.

Abbington is probably our best back right now with Hansbrough hurt. Every carry we gave him he looked good.

Ish is good in space. But this line can't block and we already have Wingo to play slotback or whatever they are supposed to be doing with him.

Of all the bullshite we've seen this year, the amount of PT Ish Witter gets tops the list.

I don't understand the Witter thing either. Both Hunt and Abbington look better to my amateur eye. I'm guessing it's one of those "practice" things.
Good news is though, Russ is supposedly ready for a full workload.

Ish's pt has to be one of 2 reasons.
1) he knows what he did s supposed to do. Abbington and others maybe don't.
2) Ish is one heck of a practice player. All of us have played with someone that was great in practice, and bad in games.

yea well 2 hand touch with just shoulder pads is a bit different than gameday

To me Abington is clearly better but just in the doghouse. I hate doghouses

Frick the dog house. As long as he's not doing drugs, beating a woman, has passing grades, and not talking back to the staff play him.

Had Abbington taken care of business at Hutch, and gotten to Mizzou at the beginning of summer, he probably plays more this year.
Instead he got here late & out of shape. It sounds like he is now in shape, but still doesn't know everything that he is supposed to do as a RB.

Ish does a good job on picking up the blitz and I am sure that is one excuse. Watching Chase or Hunt hit a hole though is what this team needs, well and a healthy Hans.

But Ish runs like shite. He could do more to protect Lock if he could run the damned ball, but he can't. So frick Ish.

But a late, out of shape, and a low understanding Abbington is still better than an on time, in shape and high understanding Witter. Play him already.

I think that's why he's probably more in the doghouse than he should be, the coaches don't want to "reward" his negative actions with playing time and have him not reach his full potential. But I think it's BS anyway, potentially limiting the already weak offense. If Abbington gets a real chance soon and performs really well, people will be even more upset. You don't want any resentment between him and the coaches.

Overall I can't disagree but he has looked a lot better the past 2 1/2 games. At least he's sticking a foot in the ground and hitting the holes vs. his old dance routine.

Sounds like we went to the same summer camp.
