This can't be our Missouri Tigers.

51 points in one half.

What is this?

Announcer just said, "It looks like Missouri may be letting this slip away."

Must be a Mizzou alum. Face it, lots of us are thinking that.

Obviously you aren’t going to shoot the ball like this every game, but I’m absolutely stunned the Cuonzo allowed them to play at this pace. They actually got some easy shots, got in a rhythm, made the defense chase. They actually played basketball instead of trying to get in a street fight.

A Tiger changed his stripes, for one game anyway

They stab me, then they stitch me up.

Which team will show up on a given night? Who knows.

Time to start striving for consistency.

Side note: if this team will ever reach consistency I believe Kobe brown and Tray Jackson will contribute meaningful minutes every game

Now do conference play and take into account the fact we took the air out of the ball for the last 3.5 minutes of the game. If you couldn’t see a distinct difference in pace and aggression then I’ll assume you didn’t watch.

40 points in the paint. Attacking the paint and pushing at times when they would normally pull it back.

That’s an extra 4 possessions. 70 in this game to 66 in both the first 2 conference games.

They were quicker and more decisive within the offense.

We had more than 70 possessions, but again...watch the game. They were much more aggressive when they had the opportunity to be, which led to a better rhythm and better half court offense. Basketball is a game of flow.

ETA: My math was wrong, your number is right

Stats only show 70 possessions. Mizzou was more decisive within its offense. Made shots and got to the rim. Mizzou also didn’t walk the ball up the court as much. Cuonzo has been talking about playing this way since he was hired. The sets and most of the shots aren’t different than what they have been doing all season.

Agree with all of that except your comments on the shots. They got more open, in rhythm and easy shots then they have in quite awhile.

It's simple! Their shots fell against the Gators.

No, it’s not. That’s exactly the take I didn’t want to see.

We had 6 points on the fast break.

We had 40 points in the paint.

We didn’t sit at the 3 pt line and jack it up.
