Here's hoping this is the start of doing in Florida what we did in Texas as far as unearthing the Sean Weatherspoon/Danario Alexander diamond in the rough types.

Thats what I dont get either. He isnt as tall as we target for DEs either. Idk what is going on.

Two of them play in the Middle, Hambrick plays outside... that would be my best guess as to why we're taking one more

Beat out the likes of Tennessee State, South Alabama, UMass, Kent State and Bethune Cookman. Trust the coaching staff (but not blindly), just hard to get excited on this one for some reason.

Edit: I just went back and saw the post. That was just absolute speculation. his quote by the way.

Nothing else was written on that. I wouldnt put much at all into that.

I'm thinking (hoping) that's just TB drama. I always thought Ramirez was pretty solid from the way he talked, but I guess anything can happen with 17-18 year old kids.

Yep. You never know with these kids. This is why a game like today is important. Hopefully, Ramirez sees where he fits in that defense, doesn't hurt to have a coach like Steck on the sidelines. I was impressed with his second half adjustments. Not something I'm used to, really changed the game. Still confident he's a True Son.

Dont get me wrong. I am the main one telling my friends to just trust the staff on recruiting. But this situation is just puzzling. When even Gabe DeArmond is confused, then I think its fair to wonder what is going on. Not saying they are wrong or anything, just curious what the game plan is. I mean he is shorter than DEs we recruit and we are stocked at LB. We will see what happens. And if this is just to get into FL then why dont we do that taking a chance on a 300+ lb DT. We will see how it plays out.
