Oh I know. There is no doubt in my mind that is where he ends up. I have had people close to him tell me he was a Kansas lean all along. I saw a video of their dorms and I wish we had something like that at MU. KA could use a facility like that to help him recruit. Any plans for us to get new BB dorms?

I took a visit to Kansas for Late Night in the Phog and got a taste of KU basketball, and it definitely was above what I heard. The fans are just crazy; I loved it. It was a great experience; Kansas is a great school. I got to see the new players’ dorm and it’s crazy! They’ve got thumb access to get in, a personal barber in the dorm, oversized showers, extra high counters for us tall guys, a chef, a halfcourt in the dorm facility with surround sound… It was NICE! ~ Michael Porter on his visit to Kansas

We can't afford to lose Walton or Gant. And though Isabel isn't my favorite, with Clark gone, we can't lose any more pointish guards.

Isabel would have been my guess, along with Allen, to leave. I don't know if that changes with Clark gone, but if I were Isabel, I'd probably be tired of lack of PT and suspensions. He may well have deserved them but rarely does the player think it was deserved.

KA has for a few months been recruiting for 2 more positions. A big and a combo guard.
DA leaving doesn't change that. If they use the scholarship restriction this year then 2 more would have to leave.

I predict we finish 10-22.
I predict we lose at least one player to transfer, a maximum of 3.
I predict KA is retained.

It's too soon.
We may lose more to transfer.

Barring the possibility that Mack is a knuckle-walking cretin, he knows there's a very good chance that he'll need a basketball coach in 12 months or so. Even deep-pocketed KA boosters will be trumped by the thousands of empty seats at home games.

Mack'll be shopping around in the meantime and have a short list by January. If Kimbo turns the program completely around next year, Mack won't have to make final calls, but will have made helpful future contacts.

But even those of us who initially supported the KA hire have come to see that a winning program next year has as much chance as Donald Trump getting a Mohawk haircut next week.
