The thread about the Baker kid and how much room we have got me thinking.
I have a hard time believing Van Leer, Geist, and Walton are all still on the team by next season. I would not be surprised if 2 of them seek greener pastures.
Just a gut feeling. Any early rumors floating around?

Hughes is the biggest rumor around him leaving.

Least needed in order:
Utah kid whose name I refuse to learn
Geist
Hughes
CVL
Walton
Nikko
Smith

You like CVL over Hughes?

KJ his last 7 games: 3.4 pts 0.5 ast 2.1 Rbs.
CVL last 7 games : 6.1 pts 0.8 ast 2.2 Rbs
Cutting both would be ideal, but at least 1 should go.

I'm pretty sure Wolf is not on scholarship.

Without watching many games but watching a few in the first part of the season and a few towards the end, it left me with a feeling of those guys you listed not panning out. Van Leer was supposed to be this 3 point threat and has been anything but that. Giest just seemed wreckless on the court with just bad body control. Seemed a bit chippy at times. Walton was ok, but again just seemed like he never got going. Collectively, they improved a little. But they just didn't seem to live up to what was expected. Those guys will not get you to where Martin wants to go. So, unfortunately you plug guys in that are better if you can get them. I think that's why the players haven't really been out front through this whole process. The minute Porter commited, thw writing was on the wall that wholesale changes were coming.

I could see Walton as a guy that CM likes. Big, strong guard that plays his arse off and gets to the foul line. Just needs to start making them more often.

I agree with this except I'd slot Kemp somewhere around CVL. To me, Geist would be far and away my first pick to go.
