Has Lupoi personally confirmed this?
Unless Bama plans on making him their DC, he would be hard-pressed to turn down Missouri effectively doubling his pay to be our DC?

The Crimson Tide paid roughly $5.227 million to its nine on-field assistant coaches this season, according to an annual list compiled by USA Today, including the $1.5 million paid to longtime defensive coordinator Kirby Smart, who was introduced as Georgia’s next head coach on Monday.
Only SEC West rivals LSU ($5.471 million) and Auburn ($5.342 million) paid more to their assistant coaches.
Smart’s $1.5 million total compensation as Alabama’s defensive coordinator was tied for third nationally behind LSU offensive coordinator Cam Cameron, who also made $1.5 million in base salary but earned $19,734 in “other pay” to eclipse Smart, and first-year Auburn defensive coordinator Will Muschamp’s $1.6 million salary.
Muschamp also joined Smart among the SEC head coaching ranks when he agreed to become South Carolina’s next head coach this weekend.
Smart, who has said he plans to coach the Alabama defense during its run through the College Football Playoff, could earn additional bonuses reaching as high as $250,000 this season from Alabama.
Smart agreed to a memorandum of understanding with Georgia that would pay him $3.75 million per season over six year.
Among Alabama’s other assistant coaches, second-year offensive coordinator Lane Kiffin was second with a $680,000 salary, followed by offensive line coach Mario Christobal ($515,000), first-year defensive backs coach Mel Tucker ($500,000), defensive line coach Bo Davis ($475,000), special teams coach Bobby Williams ($440,840), linebackers coach Tosh Lupoi ($425,000), running backs coach Burton Burns ($345,050) and receivers coach Billy Napier ($340,000).

Good lord.
I typed his name into Google and Lupoi is out there hitting it hard for Bama trying to flip players and doing work.
Sure wish we had more than a skeleton staff out there right now.

Stole this from the Alabama board. It would tend to support the tweet. Sounds like a reasonable decision on his part.

Tosh was offered a job by Kirby on UGA staff with a bit of a raise bigger title etc. He didn't accept on the spot, went to Nick and told him about the offer and he wanted to go.
Nick already losing quite a few coaches and possibly more. So on the spot he offers him a 100k raise and an upgrade in title to either Associate/CO/Assistant DC.
Should see all approved next board meeting.

I don't think anyone would disagree but I like the fact that he's taking his time and trying to find the best guy out there.

Henson made 200K more than Lupoi, & Odom made 150K more. Mizzou could also offer him play calling. Which BAMA sounds like it won't do.
