It would be bad, but the money spent on him and the idea that someone came to Mizzou with a Final Four would likely raise the regard of the program. It's no secret that the basketball program has been falling.
The whole stepping stone thing is message board fodder, but Haith being hired and then going to fricking Tulsa doesn't help with real world impressions of the program.
