Rhoades says he expects Mizzou to run a blended offense - some spread elements, some double tight ends, QB under center.

A fullback?

Now tell me a big old slobber knocker back there knocking a LB on his arse wouldn't get your juices flowing.

I am moderately surprised KA didn't bring back short shorts.

Sounds like a great way to get Eric Beisel on the field.

Yeah, I don't see 165lb RBs that fall down when a defender looks at them have much place here going forward.

They can go play ballerina ball for Leach. Give me a 220+lb horse that can run between the tackles.

Witter is a little speed demon and can be successful if used properly.

So use a FB in a way similar to how Hueppel used the kid from Rock Bridge?

Maybe Odom gets the kid from Rock Bridge that's committed to Arky to stay home and play a FB/HB role.

So look to the past to propel Mizzou into the future?

Witter is a 3rd down scat back. Maybe they should get him on Kick Off and Punt Returns. He would be dangerous in the open field. He seemed to show good hands last year, if anything he needs to work on his fumble problems.

I'm a 2007 MU Offense Spread guy myself. Gotta get some receivers if anything is going to work...

Really? A light breeze would trip him up.

I wondered why they didn't try him there. Like Murphy.

I like the spread, especially if we could blend it with some bigger backs who can establish a strong ground game. But we have to have the receivers to pull it off. I've been really disappointed in how our receivers have dropped off after Hill moved to QB coach. A good WR coach who can recruit is a critical hire.

I would love to have Hill there. He's been a lifer in Columbia. I guess it's up to him and his family as to whether they're willing to uproot, and what his ambitions are as far as becoming a HC. Obviously there's a place for him if he wants to stay.
