Anyone think it's true? I don't
Apparently Michael does.....when will stop with the victim mentality.

“Not surprised that the NFL had a deal with the Rams,” Sam said in a quote provided to The Dan Patrick Show. “Makes sense to me why they cut me and not Ethan Westbrooks even though I out performed him in our production. Makes sense why Coach Fisher was very vague the day he cut me from the team.”

Whenever you are afraid of litigation, you fire someone in vague terms.

I get that but do we really believe that IF MS has the skills to play in the NFL he isn't solely because he's gay? I don't know how many "gay dollars" (lack of a better way to say it) are out there ready to be spent but wouldn't an owner want to tap every outlet for every available dollar?

I think there was a hard knocks deal, and this is kind of a distraction story.
The deal was that HBO would wait for the Rams to move to LA.
If they made a deal like that it would be at least bad for image, if not legally actionable.

I agree with MS about out producing Westbrook. I got to see all the preseason games and MS was more disruptive in the back field

I was watching the Draft live and definitely think the Rams were asked to draft Sam.
He was sliding off the board, it was becoming a bad pub story and the Rams had two compensation at the end of the 7th round. What surprised me was how far in advance the ESPN heads started alluding to Sam being picked. MUCH earlier than any (non-lock) pick I can ever recall. It smelled of the Rams doing the league a favor at the time. And if I've learned anything from the machinations of the Rams moving back to LA, it's that the league orchestrates everything behind a veneer of window dressing.
So a back room deal to avoid the PR "egg on the face" of the gay guy not getting drafted would be in keeping with how NFL does business.
