He's been fighting a lot of injuries and just hasn't been able to get into a rhythm yet.

Keeps on getting hurt.

He had eligibility issues, so missed most of camp last year.

This year injured his ACL, recovered in time for camp. But injured his shoulder in one of the scrimmages.
He's probably the 4-5th Saftey at this point.

I suspect so assuming his health. He's too talented. If it weren't for the eligibility issues and the injuries, he has the talent to probably be the #3 safety. A RS Soph played the ST last season and would have probably kept one starting spot and I doubt that GP would have sat the senior who has the other starting spot, but I imagine before it's all said and done, Ross will fall in line right behind them and may be fighting for a starting spot in 2016. Assuming health again.

Wilson the 3rd Saftey played as a true freshman last year. He's been impressive that will be a fun battle between Ross, Wilson, & Hinton next season.

Ross, Wilson, Hilton and also Taylor. Will be a very interesting battle for the other safety spot next year.

As for Ross, Reedus pretty much nailed it. Eligibility issues to start and injury issues since. Hasn't been able to gain any traction. He was running #3 at FS but getting reps with the twos. He's got an injured shoulder now, and it seems Hilton is going to burn his RS which may mean the injury is more serious than expected.

But yeah, I expect ST duty for him this year as long as he's healthy and a battle for a starting spot next year.

Pinkel has said that Hilton was a freshman that they have been very impressed with and had already thinking about not redshirting him this year. Some of the players have said that Ross has been everything advertised, but he has been a little tentative at times because of the injury.

Yeah, I'm just not sure they would burn Hilton's RS to be the 6th safety. Maybe, but I kind of doubt it.

Ross has been kind of disappointing to me. Most of it is beyond his control, but he hasn't really grabbed onto a role yet. He's got time of course, and there will be a spot open next year. Maybe he can stay healthy and grab it. I still think he's very talented. Will be stiff competition though.

The bigger impact from GA, seems to be the 2 WR's. We expected Brown to be good this tear, but the 6'7" kid Justin Smith is further along than anyone expected.
