Suspect in shots fired killed by police. Downtown COMO

The University of Missouri reports the suspect at large in downtown Columbia engaged police, was shot and killed.
Looks like this happened around 1030 between the back of big 12/Chipotle and Hitt St garage. Everything is taped off and lots of police.

It's still a very safe town to live in with violent crime rates well below national averages. It's a big deal when something like this happens in Columbia. In KC or St. Louis it's called 'Wednesday'.

I know. I was born and raised in Columbia. However, it's still safe to say that violent crime has spiked. I'm only 25 and it is far different than it was when I was 18. Thanks alot Katrina.
