This certainly doesn't sound positive
At this point. I don't see how we can possibly avoid burning a RS. Hell, maybe both of them. Abbington is our only healthy back.

Muddying up that picture even more are comments Pinkel made in a post-game radio interview, where he said about Steward, "We're trying to get him back. He's really been getting whacked bad there. We're going to have to reconsider." [...]

shite,,, he looked good running up to the pile too, speaking of which, if we're ONLY going to run between tackles now, maybe start recruiting Fullbacks.

Honest question: What the frick is wrong with Steward? What injury does he have? I've been hearing his name for what seems like a long time but no one ever posts anything related to his nagging injury or situation.

He had a freak injury to his hip 2 yrs ago; had surgery to correct but he hasn't made it all the way back yet. Last I heard from GP is he's 92% which IMO should be better than 100% of Witter.

Hip injury. Hurt it in 2014 fall camp. Before the injury he was the fastest player on the team.

He had a "bone chip" in his hip, apparently it might not ever heal back entirely to the point of "normal". If the doctors think it's a high risk to become a long term debilitating condition then they should pull him, I guess that's what they're trying to figure out.

At this point I don't think it's how "good" he is but how safe it is for him to play, without risking a serious re-injury. Sort of like Munir Prince, could have played again, but didnt, it's just a huge shame if this is how his career ends for him.

I saw Hansborough walking on campus today with a molded cast on his foot. He's not coming back any time soon

don't read anything into that. That is to promote healing. Ankle's heal fastest with no mobility. No matter how mild an ankle injury is, if it is a football player they will wear the boot all week. The recovery time with a boot vs no boot is drastically improved.

That is really too bad about Morgan. It sounds like he might never play.

Morgan is listed as an OR as the backup RB for UCONN.

I'm not reading into the boot, but I'm wondering if he's got a high ankle sprain. It's at least a lot worse then Boehm's for sure.
I have never been that hopeful on Steward, hope he ends up okay.

Ankle injuries are tough.

A molded cast concerns me a bit. A boot...not so much.
