It's 40, a downpour, and the wind is whipping. Nobody in their right mind would sit out there unless they wanted to die of hypothermia. Regardless of how it was paid for it was a cool idea and it looks like all 140k of it is getting washed out. Which is how it goes at Mizzou.

I thought it was a good crowd for one of the most miserable game days I have ever sat thru. But hey, roasted hog is a favorite holiday dish.

O-Z-U!

(Literal, you're a gem.)

As usual I'm disappointed in the support for this team. They announced that 52 thousand plus seats were sold. That might be the reason that we won't get the best bowl available again. Props to the Mizzou faithful who always support the team.

Right there with you...that was down right miserable and I was pleasantly surprised how many of us were there sitting in that, at least till half.

GB Packer's fans fill up their stadium in sub-zero weather. 40 something degrees and some rain...please!

Put on a rain coat. It's a snow storm in the Washington and Washington St. game and the stands are full.

Snow is better than rain.

I would rather it be snowing than sit through continuous rain.

Cold and snow is a much better than cold of rain

I’m usually the first one to butch about attendance but that weather was awful. Just about the worst game I’ve ever sat through and I went to the Thursday night Nebraska monsoon

I was there a few weeks back for the Vandy game in the forties. Thanks for your concern.

Except Martin Stadium is half the size of Faurot Field. And Washington St. was a top 10 team.

I was there until half with a 3 year old and an 11 month old. Traveled 4.5 hours for it. My daughter’s feet were numb. It wasn’t the sitting in the rain that was the worst part it was getting to the stadium and keeping your feet dry. The streets were flooded on the walk, so unless you had the foresight to buy rain boots for your entire family your feet were completely soaked by the time you got to your seats. And yeah it was 47..but with 15-20 MPh wind gusts. It said felt like 38 on my phone.

not really comparable. The rain itself was cold, not much above freezing, and was being blasted by a 20mph wind. And it was dark. It would have been much warmer if it had been snowing. I'm impressed with everyone that was out there. A sunny 40 degree day is pretty nice.

Yeah. It’s much worse in the rain. That’s why I didn’t go.

Would have far preferred snow. Cold windy rain is as bad as it gets.

I dont really blame fans for not attending this game, but if 52k is how many tickets were sold, that is sad. The freaking coach offered to pay for fans tickets. Iowa State draws more fans than we do now. I get it was raining, but it always seems like it’s something with our fans.
