Who here thinks they could shoot better than our players. I'm past 30, play pick up games at the local rec center a couple times a month and I have little doubt that I can outshoot nearly everyone on this team.

It's nothing more than pure luck if a shot beyond 5 feet actually finds the bottom of the net. If I wasn't watching there is no way I'd believe that a D1 basketball team could be this bad at shooting the ball.

We lost by 5 and had 11 shots blocked. Being 100% honest, if none of those got blocked I think we still lose. We are that bad.

In the last 3 min KA had no plan on offense. 3 players were setting screens and one to dump the ball off 2

He has no plan.

He's not even coaching the team. Shields is calling plays and running substitution patterns. Kim can't even do that.

It's mental at this point, like McCann missing xtra points. This team thinks it's going to miss so it does.
This team thinks it's going to lose, so it does

I agree. It has to be. It's simply not possible that they are truly this bad at shooting.

Anderson was talking on the radio about how he has them drilling on shooting. I think Coach disciplinarian has them so tight they can't play. (although that is a guess)

This is the correct answer. There were many shots that hit the front of the rim which indicates the guys are aiming their shots and not letting it "go".

Mizzou is still undefeated in sec play, at halftime. So that's good?

This is mind-boggling:

Brandon Kiley @BKSportsTalk
12.7% of #Mizzou's 2-point shot attempts this season have been blocked.

Not surprising when the average vertical leap is 1.2"

It's not really that surprising. Phillips, Puryear, & Woods are all undersized for their positions.

None are super athletic.

Mizzou players also decide when they start a move if they are going to shoot no matter what. So there are lots of 1 on 4 shots being taken.

What's mind-boggling is that it's a significant improvement over last year.

This team is so hopeless it's incredible. For D, our guards are too slow to play man so we end up fouling. In zone we give up massive open 3s, it's just the last 3 teams have been so bad they miss 70% of their open 3s.

On O we can't shoot the 3, so teams pack the paint. We try to work it inside to a front court that can't shoot, if our guards penetrate and dish nobody on this team can make a 12 ft jumper to save their life and our free throw percent is 67 freaking percent! We get blocked so much because because our players don't know how to read a situation. They are like a high school baseball player that hasn't learned to read ball spin yet so they decide before the pitch if they will swing or not.

We all mock VanLeer because he is the worst 3pt shooter we have seen in years and that's his speciality! THEN YOU REALIZE HIS 27.7% 3PT avg is BETTER than our teams avg of 26%!

Our best 3pt shooter is TP and he is shooting 34%. KP is still allowed to shoot 3s and he's at 19%.

You guys have to believe me, I watched Kim at UCM for a decade and NEVER had I seen something so disorganized and just frankly pathetic shooting as this. He has managed to assemble a team at MIZ that shoots the ball WAY WORSE than anything he ever put together at UCM. These guys would be on the bench at UCM today if they missed open shots like they do now. I am not exaggerating at all.

Kims championship team was more talented.
