It's gump wishful thinking. This is NOT the same situation as Baker and the coonasses. Baker's wife is a coonass and he might as well be. We will match any offer Bama makes, if they do in fact make an offer.

Some folks on the Alabama board are talking like it is a done deal. They say Deboer and Grubb are Moore's mentor so he will be happy to work with Deboer again.

Eli is really making a name for himself for hiring good coaches. Everyone wants his hires.

If it happens I hope Eli hires someone from "his" coaching tree and mentors them up.

I also hope Coach Drinkwitz gets/takes some time off this year with all the added workload of coaching searches.

It would be devastating to team culture to lose both coordinators. Moore was always the more important to keep imo.

Gonna disagree...Moore started the year playing to Cooks strengths but then tried to make him "make the real throws" which he wasn't equipped for. Wasted too many possessions trying to throw back shoulder passes and so on. Abandoned tempo, especially during bowl game.

Not saying he isn't a good coach, but I would be OK with an OC who wants to meet Cook where he is and use all those weapons. Cook is strongest with rhythm and tempo and he has the guys around him to be crazy good next year.

IMHO guys.

The idea was to mix it up and give him time to build his confidence with throws. Did you see the last touchdown scored? That was a heck of a throw.
This is a way to bring on the throwing motion and improve his throws over the course of the season. Then there is all off season and he should be better this coming fall. Things will be fine. I don't think Moore will leave to crippled Drinkwitz. Drinkwitz really did a great job of replacing both the DC and the DL coach. It will really put a huge dent if Moore leaves for the OC job at Alabama.

He has an established offense with more proven talent with production. Smart man to work with what he knows when HC is on the short horizon.

Glad to hear he is sticking around. Smart move on his part. He has the talent, and he has the talent.

Good to hear. Would be very difficult to live up to the preseason #8 rank with two new coordinators. We can wear in the new DC in the first few games and still not take a loss early.
