As an assistant?

Romar and Porter as assistants to Keatts would be a great recruiting staff.

I wish.

It's just a rumor at this point.

Would rather have KA. Romar would be a Haith type hire - seriously underperforming coach from a power conference. But with less NCAA baggage I guess

This is what's gonna happen. We are going to get all hyped about a new coach and get kicked in the nuts

Change for the sake of change shouldn't be the goal.

Guy like this is not what they should do.

Be careful what you all wish for. KA sucks, but you set yourself up for 2-3 years of somebody just as bad if you don't make the right move.

Pros:
-coached 3 years at SLU so knows St Louis.
-Is black which should help him in St Louis.
-has a history of success getting kids in the NBA which should help in St Louis.
-Would bring a top 5 seat filling player which would help in St Louis.
-has won 2 conference titles.

Cons:
-doesn't appear to be a good X and Os coach
-Not A big name
-Is 58.

Honestly, relying souly on the talent in STL and Missouri, Mizzou could be a top 15 annual program.

If he can get the local kids he will prove to be a great great hire. If he can't we will be stuck at average, which would be an improvement from trash can program.

You missed a con
Hasn't been to NCAA tournament in 6 years. In that time he has had multiple future NBA 1st round draft picks.

Keatts with Romar and Porter sounds like a best-case scenario to me.

Out of those three, Keatts would be my number 1

He's only a Haith-type around the skin. What's your point? Haith worst season at Mizzou was 23 wins. It's taken KA almost 3 years to get 23 wins total.

Yeah, that was his worst season.

No munch, the guys worst season, was the day the BOC, as typical gutless liberals gave in and didn't stop him from being hired.

He got Missouri into trouble with NCAA and bolted, yet again, escaping the scene as School got punished.

He was a horrible coach, but a mentor to Kimmi(lolol)

But yeah, Haith era was f'in great

His Miami record was not good. Alden never should have been hired based on what he did at Miami.

Haith won with Mike Anderson's players. He had to scrape by with JC and transfers after that.

Lets be fair about this, he inherited not only a stacked team, but a team full of seniors. I could have coached that team to the tourney

Romar is a terrible coach. Thing that would really suck is if he comes here and Porter decides to go else where. The only reason to hire him is to get Porter and that is only a one year deal. Romar has had several NBA players and has done nothing with any of them. Pass.
